Thanos Zampoukas (born in Crete, Greece) is a music composer and producer based in Athens, Greece. Renowned for his distinct style, he is dedicated to the exploration and creation of unique musical textures through the seamless integration of acoustic and electronic instruments. Constantly exploring the intersection of diverse musical styles, Zampoukas has developed a distinct sonic identity that pushes the boundaries of contemporary composition.
His artistic practice is characterized by an ongoing search for innovative soundscapes, integrating elements from classical, experimental, and electronic music. Notable projects include Terpsichore (2020), composed for the Stravinsky Miniatures Project as part of the Greek National Opera’s From Russia with Love production and The Shore (2021), a first-person story-driven video game featuring an atmospheric and immersive soundtrack. Currently, he is working on Enso (TBA), an upcoming album inspired by the cyclical nature of life, further expanding his exploration of musical storytelling.
